The fifth grade teachers use Primary Source Readers and Leveled Texts to teach history from 1620 through 1877. The leveled, rich literature has enabled all students to have a greater appreciation and understanding of the events of the past. The aforementioned materials have facilitated the frequent differentiation of lessons and use of complex text to teach the common core standards through social studies.
