Educational Publishers Announce a Triple Win of the Prized Distinguished Achievement Award
Huntington Beach, CA, June 13, 2007 -- Last night, The Association of Educational Publishers' announced its 40th annual list of winners and honored Teacher Created Materials' and Shell Education with a combined triple win for 2007.
Teacher Created Materials' is the proud recipient of two 2007 Distinguished Achievement Awards in the curriculum packages category with Active Algebra: Algebra I and Building Fluency Through Reader's Theater: My Country taking home the honors. Both products are packaged in kit form and provide educators with everything they need to help facilitate the intended strategy.
Active Algebra: Algebra I is an intervention program designed for struggling algebra students in grades 8-12, while fluency practice through performance is the key strategy of Building Fluency Through Reader's Theater, created for use in grades K-8. Part of a long line of resources for use by educators worldwide, Teacher Created Materials' is happy to receive both awards for these products as part of its 30th anniversary celebration this year.
In addition, a third Distinguished Achievement Award in the teaching resources activity books category was presented to Shell Education for Texas Instruments Graphing Calculator Strategies, a series of books targeted to classrooms using the TI graphing calculators. Instructions for using the calculators plus strategies to integrate this technology into middle school mathematics or algebra classrooms are the focus of these award winners.
